A laser engraver is a controlled energy system, not a universal printer. The useful questions are which wavelength reaches the work, how the material absorbs it, whether the goal is a surface mark or material removal, and how fumes, flame and access are controlled. Product names regularly blur engravers, cutters and markers, so this site organizes machines by process rather than marketing label.
